Fear is a thief, hope is a restorer

One look at the news and you can feel panic rush through your body. A headache sets in, your heart feels heavy, and suddenly you are not yourself for a long time.
My dear friends, there is a reason God speaks so much about fear in the Bible.
He understands its paralyzing effect on the human heart and body. That is why He tells us to guard our hearts and our thoughts so carefully. The moment you open the door to fear, it can cripple everything you have worked so hard to build.
Fear pushes people into making poor decisions, often leading to self sabotage. That is how powerful fear can be. Does this mean we should ignore fear altogether? No. Fear is a real emotion. But we must never allow ourselves to be controlled by it. Because what you constantly fear has a way of becoming your reality.
I have been walking closely with a lady who has been on a health journey. We prayed, we sought medical help, and by God’s grace she reached a better place.
Recently, she had a relapse. I could see clearly that the fear of “What if I am dying?” stirred her emotions and triggered a decline in her health.
Looking back at my own life, a few years ago I also fell seriously ill. The hospital felt like my second home, and fear followed me everywhere. Hope felt distant. But during that season, God sent a woman into my life who encouraged me with Scripture. She reminded me to take my medication, do my part, and speak life over my body.
Today, I am in sound mind and health, using my testimony to help others escape the trap of fear.
This is not about me being an encourager. I truly believe 2026 can be your record breaking year. But it requires you to confront and kill every ounce of fear. And how do we do that? With the Word of God, which is sharper than any two edged sword.
Friends, no matter how dark the clouds may seem over the earth, do not partner with fear. Even in darkness, we will rule and reign till the King of Kings returns.
Joshua 1:9 says, “I command you to be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Isaiah 26:3 reminds us, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, whose thoughts are fixed on you.”
Hold firm to these reality of the word of God and let it guide you through this year.
Happy ready.
With love
Esther
