THE AUDIT

Imagine driving a car for a whole year without changing the engine oil or hauling it to the mechanic for a routine check; the vehicle would either break down at some point or develop some kind of fault. Just like our car needs regular maintenance to prevent malfunctions, we must also do routine checks on every area of our lives to avoid unexpected issues.

In the past 12 months, I have started auditing my life and have seen tremendous changes in my character, career, spirituality, finances, and private life. Not only did I have a positive experience, but I've also had to confront some harsh realities. I discovered some junk in my closet that needed cleaning out. For instance, I've realized that my blunt speaking has pushed clients and potential friends away. I've also learned that my habit of impulsively agreeing to everything to please everyone has done more harm than good.

2 Corinthians 13:5

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless you fail to meet the test!

If you find yourself stuck in a phase and wonder why certain aspects of your life seem filled with challenging situations. It may be time to conduct a self-audit. The year hasn't ended and I believe that you can still become a better version of yourself than you were yesterday. For instance, many people reading these words may have yet to progress in certain areas due to holding onto unforgiveness or denying themselves the opportunity to move forward.

Thanks for always reading my blog. I wish you a great September.
